A decade-long partnership between West Bromwich Albion's charitable arm and a local business has been renewed with a significant new pledge. BHP Design, a Birmingham-based architectural practice, has committed fresh funds to support The Albion Foundation's upcoming Dalai Lama Himalayan Trek.

Dave Bloxham of BHP Design highlighted the dual motivation behind their enduring support. "We’re lifelong West Bromwich Albion fans, but having looked at what the Foundation does for the community, we’re very proud to be involved," he said. The trek, which will see participants walk 15 to 20 kilometres daily at altitudes up to 3,000 metres in India, raises money for the Foundation's extensive work.

Foundation's community reach

The Albion Foundation runs a wide array of programmes, including Active Lifestyles initiatives, junior football, and disability football across the Black Country and the wider region. This community engagement continues as the first team builds its own campaign on the pitch. West Bromwich Albion currently sit fifth in the Championship standings with 14 points from eight games, having won four of their last five matches. Their recent form has been built on a solid defence, conceding just two goals in that five-game run.

Deputy Director Jonathan Ward expressed gratitude for the sustained backing. "Dave and everyone at BHP Design have been a huge part of our journey over the last ten years," Ward stated. The new trek pledge ensures this journey of community support will continue, providing vital resources for local projects.
