West Bromwich Albion's Cole Deeming is set to play a role in pre-season under James Morrison.
What's the aim for Deeming?
The 19-year-old midfielder wants to make a mark at his boyhood club this season. Deeming spent the second half of last season on loan at Cheltenham in League Two.
Loan experience
He made 17 appearances for the Robins, with five as a starter, and acknowledged the spells at non-league Truro and Cheltenham were a welcome eye-opener to first-team football.
Trust from the club
Deeming is determined to give it all he has got to prove to West Bromwich Albion they can trust him and he can perform for them. He told Albion TV: "I'm so determined and committed to do that."
Current standing
| Category | Value |
|---|---|
| League standing | 21st in Championship, 51 pts, 13W-14D-19L from 46 games |
| Goals this season | 48 scored, 58 conceded (-10 goal difference) |
| Title race | 44 points behind leaders Coventry |
Deeming has made one first-team Baggies appearance, in the EFL Cup in 2024, though was an unused substitute in Championship action at the start of last term. It would mean the world to him, his parents, and his family to play for West Bromwich Albion, hopefully it'll come true.
