West Bromwich Albion have signed goalkeeper Max O'Leary to a new three-year contract, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2029. The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international joined the Baggies in January on a six-month deal from Bristol City, becoming then-Albion head coach Eric Ramsay's first signing. He went on to make 16 appearances and keep eight clean sheets, with 12 and eight of those respectively, under new boss James Morrison as Albion secured their Championship survival after a difficult campaign. O'Leary expressed his gratitude to Morrison, who signed a two-year contract to stay as head coach at the end of April, for bringing 'real clarity' since taking over following Ramsay's sacking in late February. The goalkeeper also praised Morrison's leadership, saying it made his decision to sign a new deal easier. 'Knowing he was staying on as permanent manager certainly made my decision easier. I'm really looking forward to working with him again in 2026-27,' O'Leary said. The new deal runs until the summer of 2029, giving O'Leary a chance to continue his successful stint with the Baggies.
